Circular walk in Val da Camp (Puschlav)
Duration: 2–2.5 hours
Distance: approx. 6 km
Difficulty: T2
This walk starts at Alpe Campo (a small inn) and leads through an idyllic larch and Swiss stone pine forest, past little streams and beautiful alpine flora.
After about 30 minutes, you reach Lagh di Viola, where you can enjoy a barbecue on the shore and/or take a dip in the crystal-clear mountain lake. You then continue round the lake, followed by a climb over stony ground to the highest point of the walk, which offers a magnificent view over the valley.
The route continues through an impressive landslide area. This is followed by a steep descent through the woods to Lagh di Saoseo. There are fire pits on the shores. The return journey then takes you back to Rifugio Saoseo and the PostBus stop.
Postbus from Sfazù to Alpe Campo (some people walk this section there and back – but it follows the road and isn’t particularly scenic). Important: book your seat on the Postbus!
