Tzatziki-Teriyaki Wrap

Here, two cuisines come together that you wouldn’t expect to combine at first glance – and that’s exactly what makes these wraps so special. The fresh, creamy tzatziki from Greece blends with the sweet and spicy teriyaki flavour from Japan to create a surprisingly harmonious combination.
Juicy chicken or crispy tofu, crunchy vegetables and the aromatic sauce come together to create a wrap that is light, fresh and incredibly flavourful. A simple recipe with a wow factor – and the perfect proof that fusion cuisine can be really good.

Zubereitung

Preparation

  1. Marinate the chicken or tofu.
  2. Marinate with teriyaki sauce
  3. Fry

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a high heat and sear the chicken until it is golden brown and cooked through. Do not fry for too long so that it remains juicy.

Variation with tofu: Sear the tofu on a high heat and deglaze with a little soy sauce. Continue to fry until the tofu is crispy.

  1. Prepare the spring vegetables

Chop the vegetables fresh.

Optionally, briefly marinate the red onion with a little lemon juice and a pinch of salt.

  1. Prepare the sauce

Mix all the ingredients for the yoghurt and herb sauce together and season to taste.

  1. Fill the wrap

Briefly heat the wrap in a frying pan, oven or microwave.

Spread with the sauce and top with chicken or tofu.

Add baby spinach, vegetables and, if desired, fresh herbs, then roll into a wrap

TIP: How to cook tofu properly
To ensure the tofu tastes really good, the preparation is key: first pat the tofu dry thoroughly, then fry it on a high heat and only season or deglaze at the very end so that it becomes nice and crispy. In this video, we show you step by step how to make tofu really flavourful and golden brown.
