Numbers tell a bigger story when you understand the bigger picture.

Dominic Ebner has been part of Antistress AG – Burgerstein Vitamine since 2009. He started out in the warehouse, right at the heart of operations. There, he learnt the ins and outs of the business from the ground up: orders, goods receipts, product groups and processes.

In 2012, he took on the role of deputy warehouse manager. During holiday absences, he made decisions independently – prioritising tasks, coordinating workflows and taking responsibility for day-to-day operations. At the same time, he consistently invested in his professional development:

  • Logistics Specialist with Federal Certificate
  • Business School
  • Accounting Clerk
  • Finance and Accounting Specialist with Federal Certificate

The move to accounts

In 2022, he moved into accounts – initially combining this with warehouse duties, and later focusing entirely on accounts.

Today, his responsibilities include:

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • VAT returns
  • Budget preparation and coordination with cost centre managers
  • Assistance with annual accounts
  • Training of commercial apprentices

Why is his background so valuable?

Dominic doesn’t just understand numbers – he understands the processes behind them. He knows how products enter the warehouse, what product groups they belong to, and how operational decisions impact the finances. This holistic understanding makes him a vital link between operations and finance.

In a department where a great deal of independence is required, he particularly values working autonomously, short decision-making processes and personal interaction. As a smaller company, everyone at Burgerstein knows each other – you’re not just a number. We firmly believe that development thrives where people are trusted and allowed to take on responsibility. Dominic is a fine example of this.
