For over 50 years, Burgerstein has been developing high-quality products based on scientific research and meeting the highest quality standards. Our formulations are carefully developed and tailored to the body’s needs. We focus on the quality of the raw materials, good tolerability and strict quality controls.
Scientific basis
The focus of every Burgerstein product is on the benefit to people. Our formulations are developed by our own Research and Development (Science/R&D) department in Switzerland.
The selection, composition and dosage of the micronutrients are based on current scientific findings and our many years of experience.
Careful selection of raw materials
Quality-assured raw materials are selected with great care for Burgerstein products. In doing so, we ensure that we use substances that occur naturally in the body or in food and can be easily absorbed.
We use ingredients of pharmacopoeia quality or of a comparable high standard. This ensures that the micronutrients used are easily absorbed and meet Burgerstein’s high quality standards.
Good tolerability
To ensure good tolerability, we keep the amount of excipients to a minimum. They are used only where necessary to ensure stability, quality and a suitable dosage form. In this way, they protect sensitive micronutrients from light, oxygen and moisture and help to ensure that the quality of the products is maintained even after opening.
All Burgerstein products are free from artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners, as well as artificial preservatives
Quality controls
Raw materials and finished products are regularly tested at Burgerstein. Products are manufactured in accordance with strict quality standards and are only released following internal quality control. In addition, analyses are carried out by independent, certified laboratories.
Burgerstein products that are authorised as medicinal products are manufactured in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines – from raw material testing through production to packaging. The HACCP concept for the systematic control of food safety also applies to all products. Filling, inspection and release take place at our certified premises in Rapperswil in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss medicines authority, Swissmedic.

This exchange enables us to incorporate new scientific findings directly into product development. This includes collaborations with organisations such as Swiss-Ski and Swiss Triathlon.
For over 20 years, Burgerstein has been offering professionals from pharmacies, chemists, therapy and nutrition a comprehensive continuing education programme featuring seminars and specialist events.
